Today's semi-final matches in the 2011 U.S. Chess Championships ended in draws for the men and wins for IM Anna Zatonskih and WGM Camilla Baginskaite. GM-elect Sam Shankland held a draw with the white pieces against defending champion GM Gata Kamsky and GM Robert Hess did the same with the black pieces against GM Yuri Shulman. Zatonskih snipped a pawn against IM Irina Krush to win with the white pieces and Baginskaite prevailed with the black pieces against WFM Abrahamyan. Tomorrow the colors will reverse in the matches.
